Day 1

Arrival in Paro

Arrive at Paro International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Rest and acclimatise. Brief evening walk through Paro town.

Day 2

Tiger's Nest Hike

Full day hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery (Taktsang). This is a moderate hike with an elevation gain of approximately 900 metres. A guide and walking poles are recommended.

Day 3

Paro Trails

Morning: Paro valley nature walk visiting local farmhouses and the Paro Dzong viewpoint. Afternoon at leisure for rest and preparation.

Day 4

Thimphu

Drive to Thimphu. Visit key cultural landmarks. Optional Thadrak Goemba hike with city views.

Day 5

Dochula to Punakha

Drive over Dochula Pass with extended walking stop at the 108 chortens. Descend to Punakha valley. Riverside walk in the evening.

Day 6

Punakha to Phobjikha

Drive to Phobjikha Valley. Afternoon: Gangtey Nature Trail, a 1.5-hour scenic walk through the glacial valley.

Day 7

Phobjikha Full Day

Full morning nature walk including wetlands, bird spotting, and Gangtey Monastery visit. Scenic return drive to Paro.

Day 8

Paro Leisure and Prep

Rest day. Optional short hike near Paro. Evening packing and farewell dinner.

Day 9

Departure

Transfer to Paro Airport for departure.
