What is the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)?

The Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) is a mandatory levy charged to all international tourists visiting Bhutan. It is designed to protect Bhutan’s pristine environment, preserve cultural heritage, and fund free education, healthcare, and infrastructure across the country.
